Case Study

Bespoke Auditorium Seating for The Lexi Screen One

We were commissioned to design and produce a chair for Screen 1 of The Lexi cinema, London’s only social enterprise cinema. The architects wished to create a new cohesive interior language throughout the cinema’s facilities and spaces. We were given a clear brief for an auditorium chair with a high fluted back, removable seat cushion and an alternative to the ubiquitous plastic cupholder was required.  We designed solid oak tablets in front of the arms to hold a wine glass rather than just a cup of pop.

The result has been warmly received by The Lexi community and the cinema has many reviews praising the comfort of the chairs.

As we manufacture in the UK, we have the flexibility to create bespoke chairs for a particular venue and ensure each chair is the optimum size to ensure the best use of the space. Clients can peruse and discuss our proposed seating plan layouts and we are happy to work closely to ensure we produce seating that reflects the client’s vision.  The chairs are produced sustainably with the majority of the raw materials sourced in the UK.
